CareerSource Central Florida - Osceola Debuts New State-of-the-Art, Full Service Career Center at Valencia College Campus

The newly relocated CareerSource Central Florida Osceola Career Center office on the third floor of Valencia College’s campus CIT building is home to 33 career consultants and 4 business service consultants ready to serve and go above and beyond in helping the county’s career seekers and businesses in talent solutions that ignite potential.

Orlando, Fla., January 28, 2020 – CareerSource Central Florida (CSCF) Osceola Career Center has recently moved to its new location at Valencia College Osceola Campus at 1800 Denn John Lane, Suite 300, in Kissimmee. Located on the third floor of Valencia’s new Careers in Industry and Technology (CIT) building, this relocation strengthens an invaluable partnership with Valencia College and solidifies CSCF’s presence in the Osceola County community.

“This move makes CSCF very excited to integrate services within Valencia College to help create an economic and employment impact in the region. In fact, in the last three years, CSCF provided scholarships for approximately 1,300 individuals to participate in Valencia’s advanced skills training programs. The new site represents our valuable partnerships with Valencia College to not only help build professional skills for area residents, but also to deliver qualified talent to businesses that meet employment demands,” said CSCF President and CEO Pamela Nabors.

“Our presence is a true symbol of the strong collaboration between CSCF and the community leaders, government officials and business partners of Osceola County.”

The new Osceola Career Center office sits in a 54,000-square-foot CIT building with modern vibe and amazing campus and lake views. It houses Valencia’s several new workforce-oriented degree programs, including a new Associate in Science degree program in engineering technology, with specializations in advanced manufacturing and supply chain automation.

Inside CSCF Career Center are spacious and functional areas with modern equipment and facilities designed to provide both career seekers and businesses skills training and educational programs, hiring and career coaching services, employee training and education, and screening and hiring talent. For 2018-2019 program year, CSCF has served over 7,800 individuals, 340 Businesses and 464 Veterans in Osceola County.

“I am delighted that Valencia’s new Careers in Industry and Technology building will provide much-needed access to education and training for careers that are in high-demand in our community,” said Kathleen Plinske, provost and executive vice president of Valencia College and president of the college’s Osceola, Lake Nona and Poinciana campuses. “This state-of-the-art facility will create opportunities for hands-on, experiential learning to prepare students directly for the workforce.”

The Valencia campus location is CSCF’s second college-based career center that aligns an educational institution with the local workforce board to connect career seekers – particularly those students or alumni who may be working towards an associate degree or advanced skills training – and businesses to deliver qualified talent. The first was established in June 2019 when CSCF relocated its Lake County site to Lake-Sumter State College campus.
