CareerSource Central Florida, Coca-Cola help ignite youth potential

Orlando, Fla., December 12, 2019 – Approximately 100 Orange County high school seniors attended the Dear Future Orlando event in Rosen Plaza Hotel hosted by CareerSource Central Florida, The Coca-Cola Company, and Coca-Cola Beverages Florida. The event aimed to help students identify career paths and opportunities in the community. Students were inspired by success stories and the six high-growth industries as they joined interactive sessions with the event hosts and representatives from Orange County Technical College, Valencia College and other community partners. This event was created through Coca-Cola’s Dear Future [Community] Challenge, which called on young Americans to help deliver a better tomorrow in their local communities. UCF Alumna Taylor Horan submitted the winning idea for the Dear Future Orlando Challenge to help ensure Orlando’s future has the job skills needed for the careers of today and tomorrow. The Dear Future Orlando event was the outcome and vision of Horan’s winning idea.
