CSCF is providing current job listings, virtual job fairs, applicant screening and candidate referrals and has also launched new virtual workshops and an e-learning program to provide additional options for career seekers throughout Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, and Sumter counties during this time.

Orlando, Fla., April 21, 2020 – The unemployment rate in the CareerSource Central Florida (CSCF) region (Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, and Sumter counties) was 4.2% in March 2020, which was lower than the state’s rate of 4.3%. This rate was 1.1 percentage point higher than the region’s rate of 3.1% during the same timeframe last year. The labor force was 1,402,031 up 21,765 (+1.6) over the year. There were 58,933 unemployed residents in the region.

This rate was 0.3 percentage point lower than the region’s rate of 3.2% during the same timeframe last year. The labor force was 1,414,579 up 37,808 (+2.7) over the year. There were 40,946 unemployed residents in the region.

Orlando, Fla., March 19, 2020 – The unemployment rate in the CareerSource Central Florida (CSCF) region (Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, and Sumter counties) was 3.1% in January 2020, which was higher than the state’s rate of 2.8%. This rate was 0.6 percentage point lower than the region’s rate of 3.7% during the same time frame last year. The labor force was 1,404,502 up 40,851 (+3.0) over the year. There were 42,855 unemployed residents in the region.
