FORTE: Fostering Opioid Recovery Through Training & Employment

CareerSource Central Florida (CSCF) has launched an initiative called FORTE, which stands for “Fostering Opioid Recovery Through Training and Employment.” FORTE also means strength, and this initiative is providing vital services that strengthen and empower Central Floridians with workforce solutions in the fight against opioids.

Be a Part of the Solution

Engaging businesses to help foster opioid recovery through the community.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 100,000 Americans died of an overdose from April 2020 to April 2021 – the highest number of overdose deaths ever recorded in 12 months. In Central Florida, we experienced approximately 51 overdose deaths a month or over 1.5 deaths a day.

Our Fostering Opioid Recovery through Training and Employment (FORTE) initiative focuses on providing complimentary workforce solutions to support businesses affected by the opioid crisis.

To help businesses meet challenges due to the opioid crisis – from recognizing signs of dependency to offering training and resources to foster a healthy and productive workforce, FORTE will provide specialized training for managers, HR, Healthcare, and other professionals. These programs are designed to not only respond effectively in the workplace but also our community.
