CareerSource Central Florida and Lake Technical College to Host Free Coding and Construction Classes for Teens


WHO:  CareerSource Central Florida (CSCF) and Lake Technical College will host free coding and construction classes for teens ages 16-19 this summer.

WHAT:  Young adults will have the opportunity to learn about coding and construction   during the four-week summer program. Participants will receive hands-on experience on high-demand skills, and stipends while earning industry certifications and technical milestones.

  • Coding: Students will learn how to set up and use different components in website development including Raspberry Pi, basics of HTML and CSS.
  • Construction: Students will be introduced to various topics including basic safety, construction math, hand and power tools, construction drawings, building materials and more while working on carpentry projects.

WHEN:      In-person classes start June 21, 2021.
