New Grant to CareerSource Central Florida Helps Osceola Residents – Especially Those Who Speak Another Language – Train for Careers in Growing Industries


ORLANDO, Fla. (June 6, 2022) – Today, CareerSource Central Florida, Florida’s leading organization which provides comprehensive career services at no cost and works diligently to connect career seekers and local businesses together, announced the Osceola Cares program dedicated for Osceola residents.

Now, citizens of Osceola County who have been impacted negatively by COVID-19, and who qualify, have the opportunity to upskill with new training — at no cost to them — and seek career opportunities in some of the county’s fastest growing industries, including healthcare, manufacturing and construction.

  • Those who engage in the Osceola Cares program will have access to scholarships for re-training and upskilling in growing industries to earn competitive wages with careers to help you grow.
  • Residents whose first language is not English will have an opportunity to enroll – at no cost – in “English to Speakers of Other Languages” (ESOL) courses through the program.
  • As a bonus for young adults those ages 18-24 will have access to an eight-week work experience program to acquire new skills or expand their work experience.

The Osceola Cares program is funded through Osceola County and CareerSource Central Florida will being diligently working alongside other key partners including, Valencia College, Osceola Career & Technical Education, Osceola Council on Aging and others to implement workforce services for this program that connect and engage the community, neighborhood organizations, post-secondary education, and employers across Osceola County.

CareerSource Central Florida’s career services consultants will support program participants with career coaching and planning to help them identify a plan that best fits their needs.

The program is available on a first-come, first-served basis with limited availability.
