The COVID-19 pandemic has affected people and businesses alike nationwide, and Central Florida is no exception. When COVID-19 hit, Blair Erickson of Sagea Technologies found his company on the brink of shutting down. Thanks to a friend’s recommendation, he reached out to CareerSource Central Florida (CSCF) for help, and things began to turnaround. CareerSourcers Axel de Jesus and Shelley Jones worked with Blair to get his business qualified to receive paid interns under the Help is Here internship program. The CSCF team has provided 11 qualified individuals to start internships at Sagea Technologies – with CSCF paying for the interns’ wages entirely CSCF “turned our disaster into a new opportunity to grow our business and the local Central Florida economy. Your support and guidance have allowed us to transform our local company from a doomed business into a growing success,” said Blair.
