Huge “Gracias” From Osceola Career Seeker

Maricarmen Infante came into CSCF as a mandatory Welfare Transition client. She and her child are refugees from Venezuela that were seeking asylum in the U.S. In Venezuela, Infante was a dentist but has not been able to secure a dental assistant position in the U.S. due to the lack of certifications.

Her career consultant, Merarie Rodriguez along with advice and assistance from Valentina Garcia, were able to give Infante the training provider information she needed to get on the right path to gaining the training, testing and certifications she needed to be able to work in the U.S.

Through the support of her consultants, Infante was able to take the Expanded Functions and Radiology Dental Assistant Certification & CPR Certification and has since received an offer to start at Greenburg Dental next week as soon as the training and testing results are received.

She was so inspired by her experience with us that she wrote a heartfelt letter of gratitude, a snippet of the letter is below:

When I reached the CareerSource Central Florida facilities, I was kindly answered; the people were educated, friendly and very collaborative doing their job, guiding me and giving their best advice. [I would like to] mention Mrs. Valentina Garcia, excellent person, diligent and very helpful; Thanks to whom I could get an interview at an Academy that dictate the certifications necessary to start working as a Dental Assistant. After a few days, I received a phone call to confirm an appointment with Ms. Merarie Rodriguez whom I thank you and I owe so much support. I doubt that in the future I’ll find people who can help us better than you have done with my daughter and me.”
